Gerrit Meyerheim
My primary research interest lies at the intersection of political economy and macroeconomics, particularly in the influence of institutions on economic growth and inequality. The main focus of my work is studying both cross-country and within-country inequality observed today.
I received my Ph.D. in 2018 from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) and subsequently joined the Department of Economics as an Assistant Professor.
At LMU, I teach graduate level courses on macroeconomics (growth and business cycles) as well as political economy.
